Etsy Monday TheFabWrap

Spring is coming!  Thoughts turn to colors, flowers, green. And pompoms! (well, at least mine do.)  So imagine my delight at finding this great Etsy shop that sells fabric gift wrap perfect for a spring gift and ... pompoms!

Pretty patterns, like polka dot and flowers.
They offer three sizes in each design:

Small: 16x16 inches - Wraps gifts such as a mug, candle, jewelry box
Medium: 20x20 inches - Wraps gifts such as a book, puzzle, photo frame
Large: 24x24 inches - Wraps gifts such as a shirt gift box
and custom sizes as well.

Dandelions!
All patterns come in the following colors:

Black Green Blue Red Yellow Gray, plus custom colors if you wish.

Every length of gift wrap comes with pompoms!
You get yarn and pom poms (quantity depends on size).

handstamped and handcut.
Love everything about this shop!

pom pom

I am living through a pom pom crush.  And here are some of the reasons why:

Sponge paint, pom poms and ribbons
this is basic, in a good way:

Cottonandflax
this is not so basic, but I found myself violently agreeing with SugarandCloth's sentiments on pom poms, and in love with her project.
"pom poms are light, fluffy, and pretty much perfect for holiday gift wrapping. They’re just so cute!"

SugarandCloth
this version is awful cute too.

ultimate cuteness wrapping

I am dying here of cuteness overload. Check out the wrapping ideas I found today (edited to replace a broken link with a possibly even cuter gift wrap idea). :

Excellent Lark and Linen DIY pom pom tutorial.
Everything about the above is perfection - the colors, the twine, the pom pom. Oh the pom pom. Check out the Lark and Linen DIY on these pom poms. Very good.  Or, I could try this button, twine ribbon idea.

I could do that button threading thing they do here

I am jumping the gun a little on Christmas, but just check out that button closing on the gift bag! Can I pick them or what?

Buttons should go on everything
I reverse engineered the super cute button closing.  Here is how I think it was done:
 Materials: Twine, buttons, hot glue.
1) thread the twine as shown in picture
2) Hot glue top button to gift bag
3) Knot the twine under the bottom button
4) Hot glue the bottom button in place.

Anyone have a better idea of how it was done?

gilded kraft

I am getting a little obscure with my references (see title), but I thought what this blogger did with kraft paper left over from a move and gold spray paint deserved some eloquence and erudition.

Gold spray paint and a nifty yarn pom pom.
Gold spray paint with a "dot" stencil and -- pom pom trim! Could it be? Someone who loves poms as I do?
Once more with the gold spray paint and stencil. The initial would be a good way to tag a present.
