32,000 year old twine

There was a report on Discovery and in Science News that ancient fibers were found that had been dyed different colors including black, gray, turquoise and, in one case, pink. These were dated to 32,000 years ago.  The speculation was that these hunter gatherers had discovered twine, and it was a huge technological advance for them.

The twisting shows it wasn't accidental
